From the time you arrive at the Orlando Science Center, you are immersed in cool science, like walking across the glass bridge into the 3-story open lobby.
You can start on the first floor by visiting NatureWorks, the only place in the world where you can visit a swamp and not get bitten by mosquitoes, go to the beach and not get sunburned, and see tons of cool native Florida animals up close.
There's also Kids Town, a place for the little ones in the family (or even the big ones too!). In this area, kids can explore the big oak tree, see how a city functions, and even pick oranges in the orange grove!
As you travel up to the other floors on the glass-window elevator, be sure to look into the huge bark-casted cypress trees that span all four floors of the atrium and see if you can spot more of Florida 's wild animals!
On level two and three you can visit any of the currently displayed traveling exhibits.
On the fourth floor is BodyZone, where you can take a walk through the human body (literally!). There's also DinoDigs, where you can see skeletons of real dinosaurs up close! There is also the new simulation room, where you can race a car, play some DDR, and experience Florida 's unforgiving weather with the hurricane simulator! Be sure to check out the new Science on a Sphere exhibit where you can see how weather and climate impact the world, presented on a hovering globe.
A visit isn't complete without viewing the Xtreme Screen film in the 8-story dome-screen Dr. Phillips CineDome.
Finally on the sixth floor is the Crosby Observatory, where you can view the planets and beyond through Florida 's largest publicly accessible refractor telescope.
